NEW DELHI: The second-largest telecom operator in the country Vodafone today launched its VoLTE services in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat (Surat and Ahmedabad). This means that now the Vodafone subscribers can enjoy faster call setup time and HD quality voice calls on their 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphones.

Vodafone users will not be required to pay anything extra for these services as they will be applicable on their current tariff plans. However presently, only a few smartphones are available in the market which support the Vodafone VoLTE service.

The Vodafone users can verify the VoLTE feature on their smartphones manually. Apple iOS users need to go to settings > mobile data> mobile data options> enable 4G> turn on voice and data.
In case the user has an Android smartphone then he/she needs to go to settings > mobile network > and turn on the VoLTE call.

If a user has a dual-SIM smartphone then the telecom company suggests that he/she should inserted the Vodafone SIM in the first SIM slot and the network mode should be set as “4G/3G/2G (Auto)” for VoLTE.
